  9. 'Lead by behaviour, inspire by content, teach without words...'I like those thoughts. Lead by behaviour reinforces the idea that words are cheap; it's ultimately one's actions which will inspire others.

  10. Tao’s words and images are simply perfect. I especially loved the understated beauty of tranquility. That captures the feeling I have after visiting you.

  12. Awesome photos, Delwyn. I particularly love the moon shot. You're such an amazing photographer. I think you should publish a book of your photos. :-) Blessings!

  13. Hi Delwyn,I mean that this kind of beauty is and supposed to be a part of not only our life but our death too,our transition to the next level as I imagine we are not gone to darkness after our death but to the light! In that light I can imagine the beauty you are capturing with your eye or camera, only that!
Im in philosophical mood after my accident,I think a lot about life, death, and our worlds apart yet so close! Is this better explaining what I meant??
    Love,light,peace and smiles for you,beautiful person!! :O)

  14. Its a photoessay! Each image pairs so well with these words you've picked to accompany them.

The one I am drawn to is the rugged coastline with the most amazing blue in the sky... its both pale and alluring with the clouds adding dramatic effects! That is one I would blow up big for my house Delwyn!! Love it.

  15. The images matched the sentiment. Living in the Now, so hard sometimes, but so worth it.

I love those little birds that chase the waves.

  16. Your photos leave me without words to decribe their beauty, Delwyn. I love the exotic flowers, but seeing the blue green ocean with the robin egg blue sky, the emerald green water that's smooth as glass, and the waves crashing into a spray of white are very special to me, being that I live inland. Your views have become familiar placesto me and it's a pleasure to see them!

  17. "Lead by example." That's something easily forgotten these days, it seems. I like how the photos you chose so well illustrated the wisdom. Thank you.

  18. The words of the Tao teach and your photos mesmerize. I cannot pick a favorite (though the silhouette of the branch and the moon makes me linger). The light where you live is so liquid and golden.

  19. Hi barb
thanks Barb, that moon I spotted by accident, going to bed one night and I played with all my settings and was surprised that I caught the shot shown...the moon through a gum tree...

  21. Hi Wanda

they are a few of my favourite photos Wanda. And I am so pleased that you are seeing similarities and feeling a little familiar with my walking shots...it makes it more as if you are here too...

Do you have agapanthus, I'm sure you do...the orange flower was in a temple garden in Kyoto; the sanderling on the beach of Hanalei and the orchid in the street in Hanalei, so some of the shots are from all around the globe.

  22. Hi nancy

when you have a lovely picture it is easy to find the right caption... because the picture and the words both represent an aspect of my life... things that are important to me, things that I value and esteem, so they are naturally at the forefront of my vistas and my thoughts...and seem to find partners easily...that's a bit of a mixed up ramble but I think you will follow...

a blog acquaintance called the beach birds in Hanalei sanderlings.

  23. Hi Vicky

I hope the tummy is settled now,

I never tire of these coastal views and they change each day...but I ask myself - Just how many sunsets and ocean pictures can a girl take and how many can I blog???? Still that does not stop me from oogling and AHHHHHHHHing every day at the beauty in front of me...

  24. Hi Aleks

I like your line of thought ...I have always thought that if people want to see or expect gold paved roads then that is probably what they will encounter...but for me, I will be happy with ocean views and flowers...
I wonder what my Dad expects to see.

  25. Hi Marion

I don't think that the photos themselves are wonderful technically as my camera is not the top of the range by any means... but I like the mood and the feelings that I can occasionally capture....

I have been investigating the publishing offered via Macbook. My son has made a wedding book and has shown me the ropes. One day I would like to collate some of my posts but it seems like a lot of loading and then cutting and pasting of the post stories...and for now I'd rather be out walking and making collage...and handmade collection books and journals, but one day I will make some books. I may start with my Japan walk.

    Thanks for the encouragement Marion

  29. Hello paul

It is so easy to give advice and offer suggestions, more and more often I catch myself before I speak and I ask myself...Is that a platitude or a homily, will it really help the situation or am I just saying what I think is needed here...and perhaps it would be better not to say anything...

non action can sometimes speak louder than words even in these little daily occurrences...we seem to have a need to fill vacuums that may be better left empty...
