The ocean is ruffled
like a starched lacy petticoat
the breeze is warm
as I walk at the end of the day
stopping at a favourite tree
now dead
but still beautiful
against the sky and ocean
I look for whales
and spy a spout
and another
look here...
too late
another day...
It looks like another glorious day in Delwyn's world. As always, thanks for sharing. I'm a water sign and I can't get enough of the oceans/lakes/rivers. We have a river through our town and I love it. Blessings! xo
ReplyDeleteNo whales in the distance here, but like you I was taking photos of a dead tree yesterday, Delwyn!

ReplyDeleteI love that tree..it makes me think of the dancing shiva ...
How I would have loved to see those spouts, Delwyn. Hope you're having a peaceful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteMy late sister and I would have stopped for that tree... we used to go on tree-spotting drives. Beautiful world that you show us.
ReplyDeleteEvening walk by the seaside, which is one of the things I long for. Nara is surrounded by the mountains. The bare tree in your photo is beautiful. I like to see them standing proudly without foliage exposing the trunk.
