Today is a very special day.
Thirty seven years ago today, in the dreamtime of my life, good fortune shined down upon me.
Thirty seven years ago today, in the dreamtime of my life, good fortune shined down upon me.
I have no idea which wedding anniversary that is and as I have no interest in precious stones or in jewellery I have decided that from this year on I will name our wedding anniversaries myself.
Consequently, this year, the 37th anniversary of my marriage to my beloved, will be our Frangipani Anniversary.
~
Have a lovely day together.
ReplyDeleteAh, the year of pungent sweetness!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of frangipani, sadly, don't think I've ever smelled it.
I've been trying to comment to you for two days, with no luck....
Mona: thank you so much. I am going to Belmondo's wonderful store to buy a range of delicious goodies for dinner as we don't want to eat out.
ReplyDeleteMeri; It certainly is a year of sweetness for me. I love my sweetie, and I love my sweet life. (And I love blogging - had you guessed?)
ReplyDeleteViolet: Oh I am so glad to see you. I thought I had been blacklisted for bad taste in humour!
ReplyDeleteWhat we call frangipani you call plumeria. Ours is deciduous, yours in Hawaii, evergreen. Both have a subtle moody perfume.
What a relief to come home from the gym and find I do have blogging friends after all. I knew I had had visitors as I installed the meter to sample a weeks worth of activity on my blog. But I was becoming very despondent about having no-one at all want to talk to me. Oh Happy Days!
ReplyDeleteThat is what i would do don't forget something sweet!
ReplyDeleteMona: I have a very sweet tooth, so could never forget the sweets.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! You are very very fortunate to be happily and enduringly married. My wife and I were married in 1974, so our 35th is coming up, but we lived together for three years before (does cohabitation count as marriage? I think not). Anyway, it's really nice to know there are other very happy married couples out there. May your marriage remain happy and fulfilling!
ReplyDeleteDan: Thank you so much for your kind wishes. I appreciate my marriage more and more as the years go on. The lover, companion and friend all rolled into one is hard to surpass.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Naming wedding anniversaries. Happy Frangipangi Anniversary.
ReplyDeleteWhy Thank you B&B and M. It made sense to me!
ReplyDeletecongrats..if 37 is the frangipani i can only imagine what 40 will be! Maybe a gurglemoplurt?
ReplyDeleteDear runmotman - can you translate that please?
