  5. I wasn't yet a follower when you first posted this, Delwyn, but I have read all of your previous posts. Your grandmother was both someone to love and admire! I feel you're very similar.

  6. Hi wanda

I do have my grandmother's determination and joi de vivre and perhaps a little of her stubbornness too...oh and her love of the countryside, of nature, she would always pick wild mint or yellow broom when we went on or many country picnics to deserted river banks...and she sang as she wandered along...she also loved to tell a tale...HMMMMM many likenesses I see...

  8. delwyn - i am not at all surprised to read of your heritage. it's something that catches me off gurard sometimes when i find myself inside my grandma or grandad's experiencing and wish that i could tell them what i have done and who i am. not to brag as much as to say thankyou for opening the doors, for pulling back the curtains. steven

I had a time where I made collages every day like this card. Lately I have been collaging journals ready to write in...I tend to get on a roll...and it sweeps me along...

  24. Fabulous card and fabulous story (yes I followed the link back to the original piece). I remember women like your grandmother from the British Labour movement in the sixties and seventies. Women with such a big and generous vision, women who attracted support for their beliefs and not because of some public relations exercise.

  25. Hi Alan

this is a good point that you have made...the issues were much greater than the hype and the person was charismatic enough to carry the mission on behalf of all the little people. They placed great faith in the advocate and also gave them a grave responsibility.

    thanks for your thoughtful comments

    Happy days
