No Bikes No Dogs

But it doesn't say
No Kookaburras

So I will perch here a while
and allow you to walk
up very close

and even poke
that black apparatus
right into my face

I won't flinch
or show I am at all concerned

and you can admire
my splendid blue feathers
shining in the sunlight
like iridescent paua shell

  1. That's one very accommodating Kookaburra, Delwyn.

We managed to get quite close to some in a wildlife park we visited last year. Nothing like seeing them in their native surroundings though.

  4. That little guy exudes confidence and aplomb. He needs no cameras, no bicycles, no roof, no refrigerator or stove. Complete unto himself.

  19. Well I'm glad the kookaburras are allowed because they are quite handsome creatures. Seems to share traits with songbirds and birds of prey that I have seen.
