Evening Bell For Barry

*

Silent the old town
the scent of flowers
floating
and evening bell

  1. A very nice tribute, Delwyn. One, I'm sure Barry would appreciate.

This haiku reconstructed the town with ear and nose. Very impressive

  3. Thank you. I rang a bell for him, too, after I heard he had died. I wonder if he's surprised by our collective sadness. Is he embarrassed by the fuss? Pleased? I feel him out there, floating around. Free at last.

  7. I read this, and couldn't believe it. I read this and felt profound sadness for a man I only knew through blog discussions I had read, just read for months without participating. His bright picture, showing his beautiful smile, his sweet, insightful input. This is so unreal. I need a bell to ring for him. I don't quite understand my attachment to him, but it's there all the same. I know I never said hello, but Good bye, Barry.

  10. Lovely tribute. I'm sorry I missed this.
I think for those of us who followed Barry, we will always be marked with an impression of him. I know I miss him.
