these pics bring back many memories of weekends and summers on the beach.
So beautifully wabi-sabi Delwyn.
They look like the Sandpipers we use to see in Florida on vacation!
Hi Wandathey are very similar to the sandpiper, also known as a 'peep',who has yellow legs...I can tell you this with some surety as I have my new Hawaii's Birds book open in front of me...thank you Mr Long's Drugs....Happy days
Hi Delwyn,These photos of the Sanderlings (I love the name) strolling in the surf are wonderful - I really like the reflections on the incoming surf. Hope your days are filled with similar languid wanderings.
A great capture of words and of that wonderful model.
Just love the refections on the sand. Beautiful Delwyn.
Oh such beautiful images!
The poem is lovely and so apropos to the season. Our footprints fleeting as the Sanderlings.
Lovely pictures and I LOVE the haiku. "our idle footprints"Beautiful!
Oh Delwyn how sweet and beautiful!! Im boiling here,we have a heatwave and I have not left my room for days just to save some energy, so when I look at these photos i can remember vaguely how it is to be able to walk along the beach at sunset! Thank you for this! Happy days!Aleksandra
Gray is one of my favorite colors, so these pictures are especially beautiful!
Wonderful photos, Delwyn. It is cold at home.N
I really love those little birds. Such a nice feeling this post inspires.
Somehow those long summer days look tolerable there on the cool water.I have a little something for you on my blog.http://portlandpeeps.blogspot.com/I hope you're having a great summer!Cindy
Looks like we have been spending our days in a similar fashion. Beautiful pictures :)
can there be better days, more pleasant days, than the long, idle days of summer, when the living is easy?
Once I had a little female schnauzer, Gisele, who loved to stalk the Sanderlings at our place on Port Aransas, Texas (Gulf Coast). She loved them so & I began calling them "Gisele birds" and still do 30 years later.
