Walking on Sunday
at Sunset...
Late Sunday
Beloved and I
took to the coastal path
around the bays
towards Dolphin Point
We didn't catch sight
of a migrating whale
but on our return
the sun began to slip
and line the horizon
with a stroke of pink
small clouds
mimicked birds in flight
and the ocean glowed
we stood
to watch
the final moments
and enjoy
that window
of shared beauty
in love with nature
and others
felt the same
and after
the sun
had disappeared
that glorious sense
of calm
and peace
falls all over
our world
