A pre-sunset stroll
along the Noosa River foreshore
sees the seagulls lined up
to watch the late afternoon skies
too late Jonathon
full house...
left leg tree pose is mandatory
and the vaulted sky
blazes with cloud
as the sun prepares to sink
the dog whisperer
(he really is called that)
wends his way home
with his three charges
impatient now
to disembark...
Extraordinary pictures .. love the one legged birds and how in the world did the dogs and guy row on the little plank. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteNice of the seagulls to space themselves so equally for your photo, Delwyn. That spacing is repeated with the balanced Dog Whisperer and his passengers.
ReplyDeleteI bet the dog whisperer can make the dogs stand on their left legs, too. These are such smile-bringing photos! Love from far-away Germany!
ReplyDeleteso beautiful Delywn...but how do the dogs and their whisperer manage to balance like that? AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos Delwyn,I love the dogs and their whisperer, :O)
ReplyDeletebut the sky is magnificent!
Happy days dear!
Lovely photos, Delwyn. The clouds are stunning, majestic — and I love the dog whisperer photos. He appears to be a man who knows that of which happiness is made.
ReplyDeleteHello Delwyn
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I have to agree with George--the clouds are stunning and they are my favorite.
Have a good week!
Best
Tracy :)

Hi Delwyn, You might have to be a person of a certain age to remember Jonathon! I must smile at the poses of the dogs (all different) - how do they (and he) keep their balance? Maybe whispering helps...
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying the season.
Hello to you all
ReplyDeleteStandup paddle boards are large malibu like surfboards a little flatter and easy to balance on. They come in different sizes. I have a heavy buoyant plank that enables me to almost stand stationary, Beloved has a smaller one that is intended to be used in the ocean caching waves and paddling. If you want to see Beloved and I paddling the river go to this old post of mine

The dog whisperer is a local surfer who was the first to establish a paddle board school in Noosa. Now he works as a dog whisperer (taking the name from the talented Horse whisperers I imagine- what was that movie?)
he trains doogies to behave. The dog on the front is always with him on his board. I don't know if the other two are clients but they were extremely well behaved as they left the board. They sat in a line as he gave them a towel down and then one at a time he ordered them quietly into his van side door where they once again lined up facing the street. Our dog would love to come with us on the big board...it's a jolly nuisance if they leap off when you are miles from home...
Happy days

What a sky! Nature is the best artist and you capture that so well. Thank you for bringing beauty into my week.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots there Delwyn. The clouds are divine - and the dog whisperer must certainly have good balance!
ReplyDeleteI saw the balance board you pictured for the first time this summer here in Italy on the Adriatic. It's an impressive sight but having 3 dogs on it makes it even more so. And that sky- que bella!
ReplyDeletePriceless piccies and comments. Thanks, Delwyn,

Really nice shots, Delwyn!
ReplyDeleteYour nature photos are always so refreshing! The clouds and skies are stunningly beautiful! Wasn't the exposure difficult when shooting the skies?
The seagulls lined up remind me of a Japanese children's song "kamome no suisei san: seagull sailors".
I found your beautiful blog while out surfing this am and what a gem! i will have to come back and visit often!
ReplyDeleteI love the pics of the seagulls standing in a row and with that quaint habit of standing on one leg. What is the idea, I wonder. So, they too have thier quirks too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sky! I love your photos!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love seagulls, the sky and dogs too..... especially these ones in your photos.
thanks for sharing these magical moments :)
the way scene and the brightness of the background complement each other its really nice.
ReplyDeletei don't know enough about photography....but being a lay observer the balance between white tone and brightness gives me a peaceful aura.
